Our fields (khet) in my village |
"Better late than never" one of the finest proverb. So to underline this proverb i wish to narrate my always amazing tour to the place i spent almost all my childhood summer holidays from school, my village in the rural belt of Punjab i,e. Thathi Bhai Ki near Bagha Purana in Moga District. I know the name of the village is too funny but yet it's too beautiful place here describing how. This picture shown above is the view of our hereditary fields where we cultivate seasonal crops. The air stream is so pure i just can't explain in words.
Kurta Pajama |
Tractor |
The outfit shown above is what everybody knows i.e. Kurta Pajama. It's an ethnic and traditional wear attire representing rural Punjabi (Not limited to). I usually wear this dress on holidays sometimes. & behind me you can have look at beautiful view of our fields (khet). I used to work here to harvest crops with various crop cutting tools. I enjoyed alot my summer vacations spent in my village. I have beautiful memories from there during my childhood days. In the second image is our traditional and rocking vehicle we all know i.e. Tractor - The pride ride of a farmer. We all know why and how we use it. Trolley is too attached to load heavy quantity of crops or sometimes people too lol :p
In the adjoining image you may see the tree where we used to hang our "peengh" with a rope and wait for our turn amongst the kids of our joint family. Just adjoining to that tree is the machine which is used to cut the regular shrubs/crops into the actual eatable of our cattles. Next we have is the trees within our house. We have almost similar structure of house three adjacent sides of this picture because our joint family has separate living areas adjacent to each other.
I must say it feels amazing when we spend our time in the streets and fields of our village because of the fresh air, co-operative people, tea served mandatory when we visit anybody there, we steal fruits and vegetables from farms/fields of others, bath in the canal of our fields and so many other mischievous acts. So you must visit any village in Punjab you'll such warmth from people which even your relatives can't give you these days. Anybody up for my village, do lemme know. Thanks for reading it across.
